10 ème édition du Photo Brussels Festival
En janvier, Hangar ouvre l’année en fanfare avec une programmation exceptionnelle : une exposition d’envergure en trois volets curatoriaux et une nouvelle édition du PhotoBrussels Festival, né il y a dix ans… comme le Hangar. Deux anniversaires, une même histoire, et une décennie de photographie célébrée ensemble.
En dix ans, Hangar s’est imposé comme un pôle majeur de la photographie contemporaine à Bruxelles : expositions et projets curatoriaux ambitieux, galerie active et un bookshop devenu une destination à part entière. PhotoBrussels Festival, lui, est désormais l’un des grands rendez-vous photo en Belgique et au-delà, réunissant cette année plus de cinquante expositions et mettant particulièrement à l’honneur la scène belge.
Pour marquer cette double célébration, nous mettons en lumière le lien qui nous unit au public et aux artistes.

Kyoto, Japan – KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival 14th edition
Held annually in the world-renowned cultural capital of Japan, KYOTOGRAPHIE transforms Kyoto into a stage for photography. Through close collaboration between artists, curators, scenographers, and local craftspeople, site-specific exhibitions unfold across iconic and unexpected venues ranging from historical buidlings to modern architectural landmarks.
In 2025, the festival welcomed 297,658 visitors, bringing the total number of attendees since its inception to over two million.
For 2026, KYOTOGRAPHIE presents a compelling main program under the theme « EDGE, » bringing together 13 photographers and atrists from 8 countries to explore experimental image-making, social and historical peripheries, urban and technological thresholds, humanity’s encounter with nature at its extremes, and much more.
Three artists from South Africa feature in this year’s program, following the co-directors’ recent research trip to the region, deepening the festival’s connection with contemporary African photography.

PHOTO PHNOM PENH FESTIVAL 2026 – Seizième Édition
Incontournable de la scène photographique d’Asie du Sud-Est, la 16ème édition du festival Photo Phnom Penh se tiendra du 19 novembre au 19 décembre 2025, au coeur de la capitale cambodgienne.
Né en 2008 à l’initiative du Centre culturel français, devenu aujourd’hui l’Institut français du Cambodge, le festival Photo Phnom Penh, fidèle à son esprit d’échange et de découverte, poursuit son chemin en 2025 et s’affirme plus que jamais comme une plateforme de dialogue entre l’Europe et l’Asie. Pensé tant pour les artistes émergents que confirmés, sans oublier le grand public, il est aussi le terrain d’interactions fécondes entre les différents genres de la photographie.

10ème EDITION – 52 LIEUX
Né en 2016, PhotoBrussels Festival s’est imposé au fil des années comme un rendez-vous majeur de la photographie contemporaine, à Bruxelles, en Belgique et en Europe. Pour sa 10ème édition, le festival réunit 52 expositions portées par des galeries d’art contemporain, home galleries, centres d’art et musées, qui offrent autant de regards singuliers sur le médium photographique. Plus de 100 artistes — dont la moitié sont belges — y explorent la richesse et la diversité d’un langage visuel profondément ancré dans notre époque, à la rencontre d’un public toujours plus large et curieux.

KYOTOGRAPHIE 13e EDITION
KYOTOGRAPHIE, held in the spring in the ancient city of Kyoto, is one of the few truly international artistic events taking place in Japan. While honoring its millennium of history and tradition, Kyoto is at the same time a leading light of culture on an international scale. Valuable collections of photography and works by internationally renowned artists are exhibited in elegant, historic buildings as well as modern architectural spaces. Some shows feature the work of traditional artisans, while others highlight collaborations with the most modern technology. The exhibitions are presented outside the traditional galley format and work in harmony with the spaces in which they reside. Our goal is to present a multifaceted photography festival that cannot be found anywhere else but Kyoto.
